Das Baleares Crossover Golf Weekend bildet den Veranstaltungsauftakt des derzeit einzigen Crossgolfclub Spaniens

Palma de Mallorca, 04. April 2011. Ultramar Event Management, der MICE-Zweig von TUI Travel PLC in Spanien, hat zusammen mit der Fachfirma für die Entwicklung und Organisation neuer Golfkonzepte, Sportstainment, den Baleares Crossover Golf Club gegründet. Dieser erste Urbangolfclub Spaniens will das Freizeitangebot der Balearen mit neuen dynamischen Angeboten bereichern und die Inseln so zum kreativen Topreiseziel der Tourismusbranche machen.

Als Einstieg organisiert der Baleares Crossover Golf Club derzeit das erste Crossgolfturnier Spaniens. Das Event findet vom 8. bis zum 10. April in Palma de Mallorca statt. Crossgolf ist eine Variante des klassischen Golfs, die außerhalb der konventionellen Plätze gespielt wird. Bei diesem neuartigen, auch Urbangolf genannten Konzept werden Löcher an charakteristischen Plätzen der Stadt mit abgelegeneren Gegenden kombiniert, wobei der Respekt für die Umwelt stets groß geschrieben wird. Die Beliebtheit dieser Variante in all ihren Formen ist in den letzten Jahren auf der ganzen Welt zunehmend gestiegen.
